Our Attorneys
Founded by Robert Jacobs and Thomas Crumplar in 1981, Jacobs & Crumplar has since grown to a total of four personal injury attorneys, with 25 years’ experience in State and Federal Courts. The diverse backgrounds of these trial lawyers allow a combination that has produced a firm unafraid of tough cases and tedious details, a small firm that has been victorious over some of the nation’s largest corporations.
From the smallest local court to the U.S. Supreme Court, our attorneys are prepared to argue your case. Over the years, they have developed an impressive record in maximizing clients’ results.

Lou graduated cum laude, in the top 15 percent of his class, from Temple Law School in May 2003. He was the 2002-03 Executive Articles and Symposium Editor of the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review and his Note titled A Deadly Constitutional Mistake: The General Admissibility of Victim Impact Evidence Under Pennsylvania’s Death Penalty Statute, was published in the Fall 2002 edition. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he graduated cum laude as a Centennial Scholar and completed a double major in Political Science and Philosophy.
He is admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He is also a member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Lou is an avid distance runner and cyclist. Lou dedicates his career to standing up for the “little guy.”
Jordan Ponzo Perry
Jordan Ponzo Perry, a native Delawarean, graduated from the University of Delaware in 2001 and Howard University School of Law in 2004. While at Howard, she served as the President of the Huver I. Brown Trial Advocacy Moot Court Team. Before coming to Jacobs & Crumplar she worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Jordan is admitted to practice in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
The major reason that Robert Jacobs, Thomas Crumplar, Liz Lewis, Lou D’Onofrio and Jordan Ponzo decided to be plaintiff’s attorneys and not represent large corporations and insurance companies is because we have a commitment to individuals.
